This is getting ridiculous. As a CC subscriber, I want to make it clear that I'm not paying my $49 this month unless the installation problem is quickly resolved. It appears the "new" CC was not ready for prime time. I've lost two days of access already. Prior to the current debacle, I was having all sorts of problems getting CS6 updates--they all ended in failed installations. The proper installer files couldn't be found even though the Creative Cloud process put them somewhere on my computer, then couldn't find them.
Was anyone informed of the switch from CS6 format to CC format? I wasn't. When i found out about it I decided to uninstall my Photoshop CS6 as the first step to switching to Photoshop CC. That step was fatal in the sense that it wiped out ALL of my Adobe programs in one fell swoop. So I have no functioning Adobe programs, including Reader and Acrobat. I can't reinstall anything until Adobe gets its act together and tells us why the CC installer won't install for so many people. I ran into the same kind of problem trying to install Office 2013 on my computer via Microsoft's subscription program last fall. I spent the first month trying to get help with the problem but to no avail. Microsoft apparently had not the least concern with the problem. Finally, I gave up on Microsoft and cancelled my subscription. I switched to the free Libre Office and am satisfied with it. I will do the same in this situation as well. Adobe will lose my $600 contribution to their treasury each year. I'll be saddened to lose the excellent Photoshop but if Adobe doesn't come through quickly, there's always Corel, now offering a yearly subscription to all of its programs for about $100/year. Corel's programs are decent enough.
I have tried all the suggestions put forth on this forum but none seem to work well enough to fix the problem.
