My Creative Cloud needs an update, but says there is no internet connection, and disconnects shortly after. What can I do?

I wanted to install my creative cloud in order to access indesign. Although when I click download, it tells me to update the programme. So I do. And then it starts loading, but ends shortly after, telling me to check my internetconnection. The connection is absolutely fine, no problem, but it just won't install the update. This means that I can't use the creative cloud AT ALL, because none of the programmes I could be using will work due to the missing update. SIGH!!
